There will be an official film crew recording the event, and a photo-op around the Grandmothers’ Wisdom book launch.
MEDIA PROTOCOL
We invite you to be a part of our collective journey by contributing to our community altar. This altar will be a space of shared intention and connection, where each small item symbolizes our unity and personal reflections.
Please bring a small item that holds significance for you—whether it's a photo, a stone, a personal token, or a symbol of your ancestry or beliefs. These items will add to the beauty, diversity and depth of our gathering.
You are welcome to place your item on the altar throughout the event, and retrieve it at the end. Let's create a meaningful tapestry of shared experiences and intentions together!

LIVESTREAM PARTICIPANTS
On Sunday, October 27th, there will be a special giveaway ceremony. This is a time for each attendee to offer a small gift to the Grandmothers and the hosting organizations of this gathering. The gesture symbolizes gratitude, reciprocity, and the sharing of blessings.
A meaningful offering to the Grandmothers should reflect the values of connection, tradition, and respect for the Earth. For the elders who have traveled from afar, thoughtful and portable gifts are especially appreciated. Here are a few ideas:
Handcrafted Items: Small, lightweight handmade gifts such as woven bracelets, beaded jewelry, or carved wooden trinkets.
Sacred Herbs or Plants: A bundle of locally-sourced herbs like sage, sweetgrass, or lavender, symbolizing healing and spiritual protection.
Natural Crystals or Stones: Small, portable stones or crystals such as quartz for clarity or amethyst for protection. These offerings are easy to carry and hold spiritual significance, reflecting a connection to the natural world.
Handwritten Blessings or Prayers: A personal note containing a heartfelt blessing, prayer, or words of gratitude.
Monetary Offerings in Sealed Envelopes: A monetary gift placed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Grandmother's name or the hosting organizations. These offerings can provide practical support for their ongoing work or help ease travel expenses for the elders.
Traditional Food: A small offering of traditional or homemade foods, such as dried fruits, nuts, or a blend of ceremonial tea. These nourishing gifts are easy to transport and can be consumed during their travels.
Earth-Friendly Cloth or Textiles: A small, ethically-sourced piece of cloth, scarf, or fabric with cultural significance. This offering is easily packable and represents interconnected traditions and respect for the natural world.
